Mahatma Education Society's Pillai Group of Institutions welcomed the group of twenty two management students pursuing the Trans-global Executive MBA Program (T-GEMBA) from Saint Mary's School of Economics and Business Administration, California, USA for a six day cross cultural business studies program from the 17th to 22nd March, 2014. During this visit the US students were given a lecture on "Turnaround Strategies at HOCL Educational Complex" by Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai and had a guided tour of the Pillai HOC Campus on the 22nd March, 2014 which concluded with a farewell function at the HOC Campus.
The students and faculty members of Pillai HOC Institute of Management Studies and Research warmly welcomed the T-GEMBA (Trans Global EMBA) students from Saint Mary's School of Economics and Business Administration when they visited the Pillai HOC Educational Complex as a part of the four day cross cultural business studies program from the 15th to 19th of July, 2013. The US students were escorted around the Campus and enjoyed the interaction with the faculty and students of PHiMSR.
Students' visit to St. Mary's USA - February 2012
Saint Mary's College of California, for the sixth year in a row, played hosts once again to the students from Pillai Group of Institutions who went on a fortnight long visit to San Francisco in February 2012. The theme of the program was "American Business and Global Financial Markets" and consisted of lectures by prominent academicians and subject experts as well as field trips and industry visits to some of the top companies in Silicon Valley.
The students got a glimpse into the culture and business environment of America and got a perspective of the strategies followed by American business. Students were taken to Federal Reserve Bank of India, Adobe, Genentech, Goodwill Industries, Kimpton Hotels and had many more company visits.
Leading subject experts delivered lectures on topics ranging from 21st century leadership, base business models at the bottom of the pyramid to stock markets, hedge funds among others.
Our students put up a cultural show at the farewell dinner organized by Saint Mary's College. At the end of their schedule in Saint Mary's the students were taken to a two day fun trip Los Angeles.
The students had an enriching educational experience and came back with some wonderful memories of their trip to the US.
